About Très.

Picture
Très.
Très. The name Très., French for "very," connotes what some consider the Baroque aesthetic: all that is extravagant, ornate, lavish, even bizarre or excessive. Très. strives to create programs that reflect this baroque ideal, whether Très joyeux, Très vibrant, or Très charmant.

Performing with many of North America’s premier early music ensembles, the members of Très. are active in Boston’s music community. Très. is firmly committed to early chamber music at the local level as well, and has received numerous cultural council grants over the past 8 years for performances on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Our concerts have been funded in part by grants from the Salem, Lynn, Amesbury, Beverly, Andover, Hamilton-Wenham, and Marblehead cultural councils, the House of the Seven Gables, and SoHIP. Très. has been presented by The Museum Concert series in Providence RI, The Wilson Concert series in Newburyport, and Grace Church Concerts in Salem. Our outreach concerts have been funded by the Nashua Symphony, where we gave two full weeks of concerts in the schools in NH, and by the Summit Estate, for a concert for seniors. Très. members have given various local cameos, to help donate music to benefit local causes as well.

Our performances have been aired on WHRB for the 2009 Boston Early Music Festival Radio Preview, and live for the 2001 Boston Early Music Festival Concurrent events. We were featured on CBS-TV4 by Joyce Kulhawik, which highlighted our sold out First Night Boston 2005 concerts.

We are pleased to announce the release of our first CD - "Rejoice All the Earth - Music of the Season."

Très. is also pleased to announce that we are the ensemble in residence at the Ascension Memorial Episcopal Church, in Ipswich, MA.
