Come join us to hear Baroque music in an 18th century period setting!
Tre`s. member and Amesbury resident Deborah Rentz-Moore, mezzo-soprano, joins in harmony with acclaimed singer and Amesbury resident Jayne West, soprano, for duos and solos by Purcell and Handel, along with instrumental works.
The historic Rocky Hill Meeting House, built originally in 1715, during the time in which the music on our program was composed, is one of New England's best preserved meeting houses, boasting natural lighting and conditions as originally rebuilt in 1785 (no electricity, no on site restrooms).

The Gables' favorite Baroque ensemble Très returns to present a celebration of song, summer and love, complete with chocolate. Delight all your senses in an elegant evening of music followed by a sumptuous desert and spirits reception. This one-hour concert features Deborah Rentz-Moore, Mezzo Soprano, who will harmonize with Jayne West, Soprano, in duos and solos by Purcell and Handel. Michael Beattie, Harpsichord, Lisa Brooke, Baroque Violin, and Daniel Rowe, Baroque Cello, provide instrumental sonatas and collaboration.

Tre's. will take you on a journey to Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre's whimsical Island of Delos, where the flowers adorn their empire with brilliant colors, and the nightingale's song echos in the fluttering of the leaves. The French Gallant style will also be represented by a violin sonata by Duval, with movement titles that gossip and flatter, as well
as by the tranquil woods of "Les Sylvains", a Rondo for Theorbo by Robert de Vis'ee. The promise of a "charming day" further unfolds with works by Purcell, Telemann and d'India in an internationally mixed bouquet - a Florilegium - of songs and instrumental interludes celebrating fantasy and nature.
